Creating custom automations is a simple and fun task, but it's not always possible to foresee all your future needs right from the start. That's why Moosend gives you a completely open-ended editing and pausing facilities for your automations, so that you can sit back and rethink your workflow and edit it accord to your ever-changing needs .
It's important that your automation works exactly like you want it to, and that it reaches the goals that you've set. So take your time to customize it to your needs and add to it as your campaigns progress.
Let's see how this is achieved:
A. Pausing an automation
1. Click on the Automations button, located on the left side of your Dashboard page.
2. Toggle the blue coloured ACTIVE button to gray and INACTIVE.
The button should be toggled so that it's coloured gray and INACTIVE, indicating that your automation won't be getting triggered unless you reactivate it. You will also find that same button which toggles your automation between ACTIVE/INACTIVE is also located above your automation's workflow when you edit it (see below).
B. Unpausing an automation
1. Click on the Automations button, located on the left side of your Dashboard page.
2. Toggle the gray coloured INACTIVE button to blue and ACTIVE.
The button should be toggled so that it's coloured blue and ACTIVE, indicating that your automation is now running. You will also find that same button which toggles your automation between ACTIVE/INACTIVE is also located above your automation's workflow when you edit it (see below).
C. Editing a workflow
1. Click on the Automations button, located on the left side of your Dashboard page.
2. Click on the pencil-shaped Edit button, right beside the automation that you wish to edit.
Alternatively you can click directly on the automation's name.
3. Click on the + sign on the intersection of the workflow where you want to add a step.
4. Click twice on the - sign located on the left side of the step which you want to delete.
5. Click on the Click to Undo button on the pop-up that appears if you want to undo your deletion.
6. Click on any step you want to edit, to open its parameters.
