How can I upload background Images while I design my newsletter?

To make a good impression on your subscribers you'll need to catch their eye - for that you need colour. To make a lasting impression you'll need more than colour, you'll need image!

After you start defining your newsletter structure using the various Containers available inside the Moosend Editor, you should also start adding Elements to each available slot, filling the structure with content. Each Container you use comes with its own fully customizable group of Container settings, one of which is the Upload Image option. This option allows you to upload an image as a background for this particular Container.

Let's see how it works:

A. Adding an Image

1. Click on the Settings symbol, appearing on the right side of the Container when you place your mouse over it, to open the Container settings.
Editor Adding an Image Step 1 : Click on the Settings symbol

You have the following options:

  • Upload Image
Browse the files on your computer to select an image and add it as a background image to the row.

  • Or enter URL ...
Fill-in the URL of an image link that you want to grab from the internet and add it as a background image to the row.

2. Click on the Upload Image button, located on the left side of your Editor page.
Editor Adding an Image Step 2 : Click on the Upload Image button

Not all email clients support background images (e.g. Outlook) so adding a background colour as a precaution is a very good idea!

B. Changing an Image

1. Click on the Replace Image button, located on the left side of your Editor page.
Editor Changing the Image Step 1 : Click on the replace image button

This options only appears only after you've already uploaded in image on this particular row. As before, you'll have to browse for an image on your computer to replace the one you've previously uploaded.

2. Click on the Remove Image button, located on the left side of your Editor page.
Editor Changing the Image Step 2 : Click on the remove image button

Once again, this option appears only after you've already uploaded in image on this particular row, removing the image you've uploaded in case you change your mind.

Now that you're familiar with how the background image of a row can be added, replaced or removed you should also take a look on how to use an image to quickly fill up the background of a row. Take advantage of your new tools to tweak your design and make it look just perfect!
