How can I set up SPF & DKIM on my Namecheap provider?

Correctly setting up SPF and DKIM is very important as it will increase the deliverability of your campaigns. If your aim is to have professional results from your email marketing efforts, then it's almost mandatory to look into what is a fairly simple procedure, which will greatly impact the success of your campaigns and allow you to hit inboxes!

First, you need to make sure you know where to find the required SPF & DKIM information inside your Moosend account. Then all you have to do is follow the steps described below:

A. Setting up SPF

1. Sign in to your Namecheap account.

2. Click on Domain List from the left sidebar

3. Click on the Manage button located to the right of your domain name.

4. Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab from the top menu and click on the Add new record button.

5. Fill in the following fields:

  • Type
    Select the TXT Record type.

  • Host
Add @ that corresponds to your domain, or set it to your subdomain name if you use one.

Example SPF TXT record name for your Namecheap provider:
    @
  • Value
After locating the SPF TXT records of your sender on your Moosend account, enter the provided TXT record value.

Example SPF TXT record value for your Namecheap provider:
    v=spf1 include:spfa.mailendo.com ~all
  • TTL
Use the Auto option or select for how long the server should cache the information.

6. Review your changes and click Save Changes.

Keep in mind that if you already have an SPF record, all you need to do is to edit the SPF which is already available. Make sure you avoid creating two SPF records as this will make your SPF invalid!

B. Setting up DKIM/ Domain key

  • Host
After locating the DKIM record of your sender on your Moosend account, use only the value ms._domainkey as a TXT Name for your Namecheap provider (don't use the part that contains your domain name, as this is Namecheap's system requirement!).

Example DKIM TXT record name for your Namecheap provider:
    ms._domainkey
  • Value
After locating the DKIM record of your sender on your Moosend account, select Other Host and enter the provided TXT record value.

Example DKIM TXT record value for your Namecheap provider:
    k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADvOasfEIjT4S15emucwZhxKaWgikEeI7zzyj11l3owcIz3nZWAcuEhDxSCWYeapkj4G6WuV38WhRTxD5rXA0GQysBn+1w2FiVV0KDBHb8VLB13y8jU0SX/IiM7h0zilACnN6qzMvbG/6Z5x/ja/AB5Gc1vQrgF9ztt2/QAAAQAB
  • TTL
Use the Auto option or select for how long the server should cache the information.

Usually, 30 minutes are required in order for newly created records to take effect. Also, it is highly recommended that you check that you've correctly completed the verification procedure through your Moosend account.
