What is the "Not Verified" status?

If you have chosen one of the following double opt-in options for your email list:

  • Activate Double Opt-in for this list but continue sending to all subscribers (Soft Double Opt-in)
  • Activate Double Opt-in for this list and only send to verified subscribers (Strong Double Opt-in)

A new column is displayed when you click the View all members tab. A new column named Double opt-in appears and one of the status that can be displayed is Not Verified.Snag_d4915b.png

 

There are different reasons why a subscriber gets this status:

  • The user has subscribed to your email list but hasn't yet clicked on the verification link that was included in the confirmation email sent.
  • You have manually imported the subscriber either via the add member or via the other import methods (CSV, Excel, Copy/ Paste) and since you don't have the consent via a Double Opt-in process, you haven't checked the checkbox.
    If you have been given consent by other means, you may add members as verified by selecting the checkbox shown below.

    Otherwise, the owners of imported addresses receive an email to confirm their subscription consent.
