Automations are simple to create, you set your trigger and the steps that follow it and activate the automation. You have a variety of triggers to choose from, from your own custom fields, to a subscriber's birthday or campaign open, or events that take place on your website, like visits or product purchases.
You can also trigger an automation workflow manually inside your email list if you need to apply it to specific members of that particular list.
A. Trigger an automation with a single email address
To trigger an automation with a single email address:
- In the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over the Audience tab and click Email lists.
- Click the name of the relevant email list.
- In the menu on the left, click View all members.
- Click the email of the subscriber, for whom you would like to trigger your automation.
- On the member's page, click
.
- Click Trigger an automation.
- In the Trigger an automation dialog box, select the automation and click Trigger Automation. The automation gets triggered instantly and all the actions that correspond to this trigger start to run.
B. Trigger an automation with multiple subscribers
- In the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over the Audience tab and click Email lists.
- Click on the email list name to which you want to add the new subscriber.
- In the menu on the left, click View all members.
- Select the email of subscribers for whom you would like to trigger your automation.
- In the Select action menu, select Trigger an automation.
- In the Trigger an automation dialog box, select the automation and click Trigger Automation. The automation gets triggered instantly and all the actions that correspond to this trigger start to run.
