The difference between Unique and Total Links Clicked

CTR, otherwise known as Click Through Rate, is one of the most important metrics in email marketing. It depicts your campaign's performance and how successful your email marketing is, by showing you how many times your subscribers clicked on the links contained inside your newsletter.

But not all clicks are the same. Unique Links Clicked shows you the number of recipients that have clicked on any links in your campaign, not counting how many times each recipient has clicked on a link. Total Links Clicked on the other hand indicates the total times all your recipients clicked on your newsletter.

Suppose a single recipient loved your newsletter so much that they clicked on various links and then came back to click on them again. For this particular recipient, our platform will record one Unique Click and several Total Clicks. 


To check your Unique Links Clicked and Total Links Clicked from a particular campaign, follow the steps below:

1. On your Moosend page, hover your mouse over the Reports tab on the top navigation bar and select Campaign Reports.difference_unique_total_clicks_1.png

 

2. Click on the name of the campaign whose performance you want to check. 

 You will be transferred to the Performance overview page.

3. Check the Clicks box to view your campaign's Unique Clicks and Total Clicks.difference_unique_total_clicks_2.png
