In order to make a good impression on your subscribers, it is important that you catch their eye. To make a lasting impression you will need color - but much more than color, you will need an image.
After you start defining your newsletter structure using the various Containers available inside our platform's Editor, you should also start adding Elements to each available slot, filling the structure with content. Each Container you use comes with its own fully customizable group of Container settings, one of which is the Background Image option. This option allows you to upload an image as a background for this particular Container.
Let's see how it works:
A. Adding an Image
1. Click on the Settings symbol, located on the left side of your Editor page.
2. Scroll down and click on Background Image.
The Image Picker will open, allowing you to choose from a variety of options and add the one you prefer as a background.
For instance, you can use the Direct Link option to take your desired image directly from the internet and add it as a background image to the newsletter.
Please note that not all email clients support background images (e.g. Outlook) so adding a background color as a precaution is a very good idea.
B. Changing an Image
1. Once more, click on the Background Image button, located on the left side of your Editor page.
As before, you will have to browse for an image on your computer to replace the one you have previously uploaded.
2. Click on the Remove Image button, located on the left side of your Editor page.
This option appears only after you have already uploaded an image on this particular row, removing the image you have uploaded in case you change your mind.
Now that you are familiar with how the background image of a row can be added, replaced, or removed you should also take a look at how to use an image to fill up the background of a row. Take advantage of your new tools to tweak your design and make it look just perfect.
