What is the Row padding and how can you use it to design your newsletter

The true secret of a successful email campaign lies in taking a genuine interest in all its details. That is why when you design your latest newsletter using our platform's Editor, you will find that you can bring your newsletter to absolute perfection with ease.

After you have defined your newsletter design's structure using the various Containers, you can also start adding Elements to each available slot, filling the structure with content. Each Container you use comes with its own fully customizable group of Container settings. One of the most useful options contained in the settings is the Row padding.

Let's see what it does:

1. Click on the Settings symbol, appearing on the right side of the Container when you place your mouse over it, to open the Container settings.row_padding_and_use_1.png

Make sure that you have chosen a Container that has any type of Element in it. This way you will be able to clearly discern how changing the Row Padding option actually affects the look of your newsletter design.

2. Click on the up/down arrows, located next to the Row Padding setting on the left side of your Editor page.

The value has a range from 0 up to 2000 pixels. Increasing the amount increases the left and right lining of the particular row and subsequently decreases the space available for the row's slots.

3. Type in the exact Row Padding number of your choice in the available field.row_padding_and_use_2.png

It is easy to see that whatever you have added inside the slot or slots of the row changes in size when you change the Row Padding. However, if you find yourself still feeling unsure about what the padding itself is, you might want to momentarily change the Row Color option to something other than the default transparent one so that the padding stands out more.

Now that you are familiar with how the padding of each row works, make sure you take advantage of it to tweak your design and make it look amazing.
