Unsubscribe list members using Copy & Paste

One of the unsubscribe options in Moosend lets you unsubscribe members or contacts from your email marketing lists by copying and pasting. You can quickly unsubscribe up to 500 members using this method. If your list exceeds the 500 members limit, you can use other methods using CSV, TXT, Excel files or plugins.

To unsubscribe contacts by copy and paste:

  1. In the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over the Audience tab and click Email lists.
  2. Click the name of the email list from which you want to unsubscribe contacts.
  3. In the menu, click Perform bulk actions.
  4. On the Choose Bulk Action page, navigate to Unsubscribe List members and click Select.
  5. In the pop-up dialog box that appears, navigate to the Paste Text option and click Select.
  6. On the Data selection tab, paste your list and click Next. You can use one contact per row and commas ( , ) to separate each contact's fields.

    Note:
You can always type the emails here and any other information you want to include, but it would be quicker to just copy and paste your list. As long as you separate information with a comma, you can add more than just the recipient's email address. We recommend that you use one line per subscriber.
  7. On the Data Mapping tab, click each drop-down list and select the default Email field or any created custom field. If you want to map a specific column to a field, click the Map to drop-down list, select the field to use, and click Next.Snag_28cd50.png
Note: If you have not mapped all the fields, a notification appears asking if you want to ignore any columns that remain unmapped. Click Ignore and continue.
  8. On the Notification tab, select if and how you want to be notified once the unsubscribe process has been completed. Select Apply to all email lists if you want the unsubscription process to be applied to all your email lists simultaneously.  Click Unsubscribe when you are ready to start the process.
