Work with floating bar forms
How to create a floating bar subscription form in Moosend.
A floating bar subscription form enables you to create a bar that stays fixed at the top or bottom of your website or page. Because it stays visible even as the visitor scrolls down the page, this form can catch the visitor's attention without being too intrusive.
Create a floating bar form
To create a floating bar form:
On the menu bar, click Growth Tools > Subscription Forms.
In the top right-hand corner, click New > Subscription Form.
In the Choose subscription form type dialog, below the Floating bar option, click Create.
On the Set basic settings page, enter a name for your subscription form, then click Next to continue.
Note
The name for your subscription form is for internal use only and is not shown to visitors on your page.
Create a design
To create the design:
On the the Design page, click Start designing to access the subscription form editor.
To find a template to use as your starting point, browse the Template Library.
Click Use Template to apply a template to your design and click OK.
In the subscription form editor, use the options available to adjust your selected template to your preferences.
When you have finished designing, click Proceed to Next Step in the upper-right corner and then click Yes.
Click Next.
Define the visibility settings
To define visibility settings for your form:

You must fill out all the fields of the setting, otherwise the form is not shown.
On the Set visibility settings page, choose where you want the subscription form to be displayed. Select one of the following options by setting the corresponding switch to Active and then clicking Next:
Display the form at the top of the page
Display the form at the bottom of the page
In the Advanced conditional form visibility settings section, you can set the conditional rules for showing or hiding a form.
To hide the subscription form from visitors who have already submitted it, select the Don't show the form to people who have already submitted it check box.
Set conditional rules for showing a form
To set rules for showing your form:

You must fill out all the fields of the rule, otherwise the form is not shown.
In the Advanced conditional form visibility settings section, click Conditional rules for showing the form.
Specify if the form must be displayed when all or any of the criteria are present, using the drop-down menu.
Click All to display the form if all the rules added are true.
Click Any to display the form if at least one of the rules added is true.
Click Add rule to add one or more rules and fill out the relevant fields to define them.
In the first drop-down menu, select one of the following options and then fill out the fields as appropriate.
Url Path - select to set a rule based on a specific URL path. Specify whether the path is /is not, contains / does not contain, starts with / does not start with, ends with /does not end with. Complete the rule by typing the appropriate URL path into the third drop-down field and then press Enter to add the value. Note that this URL path is after your domain.
Cookie - select to set a rule based on a specific cookie name. Specify whether it is /is not, contains / does not contain, starts with / does not start with, ends with /does not end with, and then complete the rule by typing the appropriate value into the third drop-down field and then press Enter to add the value.
Country - select to filter visitors based on their country. Specify whether it is/is not and then choose the country from the drop-down list of available countries in the third field.
Device Type - select to filter visitors based on whether they are viewing through their mobile phone or their desktops. Select whether this is/is not, and then select either Desktop or Mobile from the third drop-down field.
Operating System - select to filter visitors based on the operating system they are using. In the second drop-down menu, specify whether the OS is / is not and then from the third drop-down list. select one of the operating systems.
After you have filled out the fields to specify the rules you want, click Next.
Set conditional rules for hiding a form
To set rules for hiding your form:
Important
You must fill out all the fields of the rule, otherwise the form is not hidden.
Any rules for hiding your form override rules for displaying your form.
In the Advanced conditional form visibility settings section, click Conditional rules for hiding the form.
Specify if the form must be hidden when all or any of the criteria are present, using the drop-down menu.
Click All to hide the form if all the rules added are true.
Click Any to hide the form if at least one of the rules added is true.
Click Add rule to add one or more rules and then fill out the relevant fields to define them. Click Next.
Publish your subscription form
Automatically publishing a subscription form lets you quickly and easily capture contact information from potential customers or subscribers. In Moosend, you can automatically publish your form on an active landing page, a verified website that is connected with your account, or a an external platform or website.
To publish your subscription form:
On the Settings page, click the Choose publishing method tab.
To publish your form to a website or landing page in your account, in the Publish on your site section, set the Yes, publish automatically to the following website switch to Yes.
In the Connected Websites drop-down list, click the URL of your website or landing page.
Note
For a landing page to be displayed in the list, it must be active.
For a website to be displayed in the list, it must be verified.
To publish your form to an external or third-party platform, in the Embed or Publish to External Platforms section, click Setup next to one of the following options:
Link to your form - copy the generated URL of your form based on your landing page domain. In the Path field, you can edit the specific path to your form.
Embed your form - copy the code snippet and and paste it into a location on your external website where you would like to display your form, usually somewhere in the body of the page.
Note
If your website is already connected to your Moosend account, use the Publish on your site option and not the Embed your form option.
Any submissions and views for an embedded form are not counted in its total statistics because this option excludes the website tracking code.
View your subscription form summary
You can check if anything is missing from your subscription form.
To view your subscription form summary:
On the Summary page, review the overview of your subscription form.
To edit a setting, click the Edit link. Any fields with missing information are indicated by .
When you are finished, you can either publish your subscription form by clicking Publish, or you can save your changes for later by clicking Save & exit.
